Season Ends for Maranatha

(Pasadena) – Jeremy Major poured in 34 points but it wasn’t enough as Maranatha fell to Windward 83-70 Friday night in the second round of the CIF Division 4AA playoffs.

After Major the scoring dropped off considerably. Garren Llorens, the only other player in double figures, had 13 and P.J. Dunn finished with eight.

The Minutemen were only down by two at halftime but were outscored by ten in the third quarter and never recovered.

Maranatha finishes the season 20-7 overall. They knocked off Twentynine Palms 69-59 on Thursday. Major, who is getting several looks from Division 1 schools, averaged over 25 points per game for the year.
