2.) Jamie Moyer, 49, made his MLB debut on June 16, 1986 foir the Chicago Cubs. He went 6 1/3 in a 7-5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Moyer’s teammates that day were Davey Lopes, Shawon Dunston, Ryne Sandberg, Gary Matthews, and Leon Durham. Lee Smith picked up the save.
On Tuesday Moyer, now with the Colorado Rockies, notched his 268th career win with a 5-3 decision over the San Diego Padres. He also became the oldest pitcher ever, 49 years-150 days, to win a baseball game.
