Monrovia will journey some 100 plus miles east to battle the Palm Desert Aztecs on Tuesday with a trip to UC Riverside on Saturday, 6/2,at 7:30pm for the Division 4 crown on the line. The Aztecs won their quarterfinal game 4-3 in a 14 inning epic at Savanna, and are seeking a title after getting shutout by Bishop Amat in last year’s final. Monrovia meanwhile seeks its first championship appearance since 2007 (when it fell to Bishop Amat) and first title since the prior year, 2006, when they beat St. Bonaventure 3-1.
