Cox Decides on Arizona

Pasadena QB Brandon Cox Commits to Arizona

(Pasadena) – Pasadena quarterback Brandon Cox, who has had other Division 1 offers, and interest from several schools made his decision and committed to the University of Arizona he confirmed Thursday.

Arizona extended an offer to Cox back in February when Cox had called the school to get some information on the program.

“Coach (Robert) Anae informed me that I was the number one quarterback on their recruiting board and would like to offer me a scholarship,” Cox said at the time. “It was unbelievable. I was in shock. I’m so thankful and happy. It shows that some of my hard work has finally paid off and I feel grateful and somewhat relieved at the same time. Now it’s time to work even harder.”

When Cox went on a visit to Arizona he was sold.

“Out of all the places I’ve seen and visited…I didn’t get that same feeling that I got when I went to Arizona. It just felt right,” Cox said. “Now that I committed I feel good and even more hungry to work harder and develop my skill sets even more.”

Last season Cox threw for 2,697 yards and six touchdowns and rushed for 562 yards and eight TDs.
