La Mirada’s Hills out for the Year

La Mirada RB Johnny Hills is out for the year

(La Mirada) – La Mirada running back Johnny Hills sufferred a broken fibula in last night’s win over St. Francis and is out for the year Matadore Coach Mike Moschetti confirmed Saturday.

“He’s a tough kid, he’s positive and he will work his tail off to get ready for baseball. He will be back,” Moschetti said.

Hills, a senior, had rushed for over 500 yards this year and was a 1000 yard rusher last season. Hills injury means that a bulk of the work will now fall on Adam Carrasco. Carrasco also has over 500 yards on the ground and ran for 213 yards and two touchdowns against St. Francis.

Kevin Dillman is day to day

Sophomore receiver Kevin Dillman also left the St. Francis game with an injury but he is listed as day to day and should be ready for Norwalk Friday night.
