Record Setting Day for Cantu

Aaron Cantu had a record setting day for ELAC on Saturday

(West LA) – Aaron Cantu had a record setting day in leading East Los Angeles College to a 58-55 win over West LA College Saturday. The former Schurr quarterback completed 37 of 50 passes for 507 yards and six touchdowns.

He broke ELAC’s school record for most completions in one game, most career passing touchdowns and tied the school record for most passing touchdowns in one game.

The game came down to the final play when West LA had a  fourth down on the ELAC 13. West LA quarterback Dallas Lopez was sacked with 16 seconds left in the agme to seal the victory for ELAC.

Cantu is now 11-0 as the starting quarterback for ELAC, which improved to 3-0 this season.

    You will never see the OL on the press if they win or lose, QB get press both good and bad. It takes a special person to play this QB position, “a true leader will take all the blame and give the credit away”, knowing Cantu he will give props to his boys. Sign Left Tackle….

    former fat boy, ALL the o-line starters love Cantu, the QB’s stats are a credit to the o-lines work, the QB getting press is nothing new to o-linemen, seems like you are a “former” fat boy for a reason, maybe you should have worked harder and your QB would be in the press… for us we’re proud of our QB, I got a ring thanks to Cantu!

    To Schurr and ELAC grad, took u up on it. Asked few of lineman I know… Not one of them gets props from the QB….
