Good Afternoon!

It was great having Fox Sports’ John Jackson on the show last night. Classy dude, who agreed with me more often than he did the co-host…You know?

What did Andre Ethier cost the Dodgers? John Hale, Joe Beckwith, and Ross Jones?

I’ll buy… “The Cross Town Showdown” for Rosemead versus Arroyo, it does sound better than “The Battle for Lower Azusa”…There’s not much on Lower Azusa I’d want after In ‘N Out Burger or Flames.

Had to read an Oakland newspaper to find agreement with me on receiver Louis Murphy’s touchdown catch being overturned against San Diego on Monday night. What a rip off. Even our so called football guys in the office weren’t worked up by it…but I am. This kind of stuff is going to kill the NFL if it’s not careful…Possession, two feet down, butt down, and that’s not enough? He rolls over and the ball moves a little… “UPON FURTHER REVIEW…”

The only thing more ridiculous than the NFL’s replay standards and rules for protecting quarterbacks is anchovy on pizza.

Worst news of the weekend; Fullerton’s Tra Sumler breaking his ankle on Saturday…what a drag!

Believe I’ll pass on a pair of Villathedevil predictions. One has Hoover beating Arcadia this year, the other has Keppel snapping its 38-game losing streak against Gabrielino this week.

Note to Villathedevil: Keppel and Gabrielino have met six times and the Eagles have won all six. Three by shutout, they allowed just six-points in two others, and only once did they even give up 20 (Gabrielino 42-20 in 2001) to the Aztecs.

Last Add Gabrielino: This Saturday, September 19 will mark the 12th anniversary of the Eagles first ever varsity victory; a 26-7 win over Bonita.

Was Kevin Trochez the quarterback then?

It’s sad to see anyone die, especially of cancer, but what I never understood about the late Myles Brand, who died of pancreatic cancer today, was the vendetta against Jerry Tarkanian. There were, and still are, a lot of coaches bending/breaking the rules but for the longest time Tarkanian was the guy the NCAA had to get. It was as if you got Tarkanian all the sins would go with him. This kind of picking and choosing is the reason few trust the NCAA.

If James Fernandez and Jose Perez can key a La Puente upset at Baldwin Park on Friday, it’s going to turn the season upside down. At least for me it will. I still expect the Braves to win, but I have a feeling win or lose the spotlight’s ready to be turned on the Warriors.

The best running back no one knows about? Montebello’s Joseph Marron.

I’m hundred percent behind President Obama in his opinion of Kanye West.

Stay thirsty my friends…
