Mt. Sac 32                  Victor Valley  20            (Sept. 19, 2009 at Victorville, CA)

In the win on the road in Victorville, Richard Parham (South Hills) had seven catches for 67-yards and Ahmere Owens (Muir) had two receptions for 27-yards and a 50-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.  Bryce McBride (Bishop Amat) had five carries for 25-yards and a touchdown.

On defense, Arness Ikner (Pasadena) had six tackles.

Citrus 32                     L.A. Southwest 24                  (Sept. 19, 2009 at Glendora, CA)

 Brandon Stansell (Rowland) led the locals with nine carries for 38-yards and a touchdown, two receptions for 23-yards and a kick return of 23-yards.  Isaac Tucker (West Covina) had 16 carries for 76-yards, Tim Gilmore (H.H. Wilson) had seven for 30, and Nico Barbone (San Dimas) had one carry for one yard and a touchdown to go along with two tackles on defense.  Andrew Romero (H.H. Wilson ) had two receptions for 37-yards and a touchdown.

 On defense Jesse Prieto (Bishop Amat) had four tackles and Mike McDonough (Covina) had two.

 Fullerton 70                Moorpark 21                           (Sept. 19, 2009 at Fullerton, CA)       

 In a complete annihilation of Moorpark, Joe Morales (South El Monte) had six tackles, A.J. Pasalo (Charter Oak) had four tackles and a sack, Alex Valdez (Schurr) had four, David Slover (South Hills) had three, and Raul Pintado (Schurr), Filipo Tuala (South El Monte) and Juan Perez (South El Monte) each had one.

 Glendale 10                Riverside 7                         (Sept. 19, 2009 at Glendale, CA)  

Willie Youngblood (Muir) found the yards hard to come by gaining only 29 on 14 carries.

PCC  49                      ELAC 27                                      (Sept. 19, 2009 at Pasadena, CA)

Pasadena’s high scoring affair was led this time by Nick Ponce (Arcadia).  Ponce completed 20 of 29 passes for 338-yards and four touchdowns.  Reuben Thomas ( Muir) was held in check somewhat but did have one carry for one yard and a touchdown and a catch for five yards.  Devin Fuller (Blair) carried the ball two times for 34-yards and had one reception for 23-yards.

On defense, Williams Do (Temple City) had three tackles and Reuben McQueen (Bonita) had two.

 ELAC:  Pedro Velasquez completed 15 of 25 passes for 174-yards.  Velasquez also had five carries for 68-yards and a touchdown.  The touchdown was a 99-yard touchdown run as time expired.

 Tommy Cogburn update:  Cogburn (South El Monte) had four tackles and got his first interception of the year.
