(Monrovia) – Monrovia, which wrapped up its third consecutive Mid-Valley Division Championship Friday night, is now headed to the State Playoffs beginning Saturday night Principal Darvin Jackson confirmed Sunday.
The Wildcats, 12-2, will host Madison High School of San Diego at Monrovia High School at 7:30 pm. Monrovia completed its championship run with a 23-7 win over Alpha League Champion Paraclete. The Cats beat Viewpoint 50-0, South El Monte 43-6 and Sierra Canyon 42-31 before dispatching Paraclete.
Monrovia has appeared in four consecutive Mid-Valley title games, winning the last three.
