Former Schurr Spartan/ ELAC Huskie Albert “Rhino” Perez Headed to Wyoming

Former Schurr center Albert “Rhino” Perez verbally committed to Wyoming. It was confirmed Tuesday. The 6-1 285 pound Perez will sign with the Cowboys on February 6.

Perez graduated from Schurr in 2011 and earned All Mid-Valley honors. He spent the last two years at East Los Angeles College where he started for the Huskies. Perez earned 1st Team Offense honors in the Mountain Conference in 2011 while anchoring a solid offensive line.

Perez is the third Schurr player to go on to play at the next level . Quarterback Aaron Cantu is going to Southern Utah and Carlos Arredondo is at Henderson State. Both Cantu and Arredondo also played at ELAC.
