2.) Michael Bourn signs four-year (48-million) contract to play centerfield for the Cleveland Indians. Last year for the Atlanta Braves Bourn batted .274 with hit nine home runs, 57 Rbis, and stole 42 bases.

3.) Temple City (junior) tailback Nick Starling’s 2012 Stats: 152 carries, 719 yards, 8 touchdowns…and he wears number 22

5.) La Puente football is 33-11 the last four seasons (2009-2012) under Brandon Rohrer

6.) Bishop Amat is at South El Monte to open the Div. IIIA boys basketball playoffs tomorrow night. Servite is at Arroyo for the Div. IIIAAA playoffs.

7.) Abraham Lincoln turns to 204 years old today.

8.) Paraclete WR/DB Triston Brown’s 2012 stats: 40 catches, 783 yards and 14 touchdowns…6 carries, 51 yards, and 2 touchdowns. On defense he recorded 78 tackles, 4 interceptions, 2.5 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries. He scored 19 touchdowns total and will be back in 2013 for his senior season.
