Arcadia 5, Charter Oak 3
Cameron Tuck was the decisive bat the Apaches needed late when the Chargers rallied to tie it at 3-3 in the top of the fifth. Tuck came through in the bottom half blasting a 2-2 pitch to left field for a two run go-ahead bases-clearing double that held up for an Apache victory. Austin Georgen who earned the win with a strong relief performance. Georgen avoided a leadoff walk in the seventh by battling back from a 3-0 count.
Alex Morales had Charter Oak on the ropes dealing a fine start for Arcadia before being taken out with zero outs in the fifth after allowing his first two batters on base. Both of those runners (Oscar Osorio III-leadoff single, and Elias Maldonado-error on sacrifice attempt) ended up scoring during Georgen’s time on the hill via an infield error and bases-loaded walk drawn by Ross Barrera.
Michael Luna got things started driving Tuck to paydirt on a single up the middle in the second inning, before setting up Arcadia’s 3-1 lead in the fourth as Nick Marquez grounded out for an RBI and David Dominguez followed with another on a base hit to center.

South Hills 2, Covina 1
Erik Martinez picked up a win in relief tossing a perfect two innings and kept the lid on Covina with 21 of 26 pitches going for strikes, while also setting up an eventual game winning run in the bottom of the sixth for South Hills on a sacrifice bunt. Moments later, Daniel Ramos flew in David Denson on a flyout to center.
Tony Muniz had a double and single in three trips to the plate for the Dawgs.
Adrian De Horta left with a no-decision but otherwise delivered a quality start for South Hills, striking out six against one walk over five innings. The (unearned) run that plated off of De Horta cashed on a wild pitch that tied the score at one-all in the fourth.
Covina’s only hits (2) of the game were in that fourth, where Brandon Mead and Anthony Moreno connected on base hits to leadoff the inning.

Claremont 5, Colony 1
A pitching duel between two southpaws unfolded, carrying a 1-1 tie into the sixth, before Claremont scored an additional four unanswered runs to stretch away from Colony and win.
Tyler Witt went the distance, issued an unearned run, two hits, struck out five, and began with three perfect innings by retiring the entire Colony lineup from top to bottom.
Justin Galigher was untouched in three of his first four starting on the hill for the Titans before being scratched for a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth in the loss. He helped his own cause by driving in Michael Upchurch in the fourth to get Colony on the board first. It, however, proved to be the only run the Titans scored.
Claremont received balanced production from the top half of its lineup closing the game with five unanswered runs thanks to RBI singles from Josh Chua, Jeremy Giles, Nick Costello, Matt Donley, and Brandon Ziska.
