Former Bell Gardens HC David Ramos Joins St. Paul Staff

(Bell Gardens) – David Ramos, who stepped down as the head coach at Bell Gardens earlier this year, has joined the St. Paul staff as Offensive Line Coach. Ramos led the Lancers to the Almont League title and an 8-3 overall record in 2012.

Rick Zepeda who was previously the head coach at El Rancho, was named the HC at St. Paul in December and is still in the process of putting his staff together. Elijah Asante began the season last year as head coach but was fired mid season.

“Bell Gardens and El Rancho have a pretty good rivalry going on and Rick and I had many heated battles. When he found out that I had been let go at Bell Gardens he contacted me about coming aboard. St. Paul turned out to be a great fit for me and with the way they run the ball I believe I could be an asset on Rick’s staff,” Ramos said.

Ramos will continue to teach at Bell Gardens while coaching at St. Paul.
