By Tim Peterson We still have two weeks left in the regular season but it looks like everything is settled. Let’s take a league inventory:
(Alhambra) – Bell Gardens took advantage of two Alhambra turnovers and the Lancer offense kicked it into high gear in the second half in a 49-21 rout of the Moors Friday night at Moor Field.
By Tim Peterson (San Marino) – San Marino racked up over 400 yards on the ground and rolled to a 30-6 win over Bell Gardens Friday night on its home field.
By Tim Peterson Who’s going to win the Almont? Some say Montebello wins it going away while others say Schurr is ready to unseat the Oilers as league champs. We know that Bell Gardens will be better and we’re hearing good things out of Alhambra. Here’s an early look:
By Tim Peterson Who’s a team to look out for this year? Who’s a team that can jump up and bite somebody? Who’s a team that can contend for a league title that may not be on you radar? It’s the Alhambra Moors.
By Tim Peterson So the Rosemead head coaching vacancy has been filled. Or has it?
By Tim Peterson (El Monte) – South El Monte, Bell Gardens and LA Jordan visited Arroyo Saturday for a four-way throw.
By Tim Peterson It doesn’t matter if Joshua Knight accepted the position or not (I don’t think he did), but what does matter is that El Monte still doesn’t have a football coach.
(Bell Gardens) – Alhambra jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter but then had to rally late to beat Bell Gardens 26-21 Friday night on the Lancers home field.
By Tim Peterson Now we really didn’t think USC would beat Alabama, did we? If USC fans took a step back and looked at it realistically it was just too much to ask.
