Rams Score a Ten at Elks

Kevin Chavez threw four plus scoreless innings for Temple City

(Temple City) – Temple City racked up ten runs in the third inning and rolled to a 10-0 rout of Southgate Saturday in the Arcadia Elks Tournament. The game was called after the top of the fifth inning when the mercy rule was invoked.

In the third Sergio Juarez had a two run single, Jake Le Grand had an RBI single and Tony Valencia doubled in a run. Valencia and Bobby Hubbel opened the inning by being hit by pitches, and Gabriel Juarez walked. Nick Starling walked to force in a run and Cameron Le Grand grounded to short to plate another. Brad Guerrero walked and with two out Juarez delivered the two run knock. Valencia, Hubbell and Gabriel Juarez all scored twice in the inning.

Chavez stated and threw four scoreless innings before being relieved by the sidearmed Valencia after one batter in the fifth, who closed it out.

The Rams had seven hits overall.

 Temple City beat Beverly Hills 5-1 Friday behind Gabriel Jaurez. The Rams will continue the Elks Tournament Tuesday at 3:15 at Temple City.
