Monrovia transfer Kurt Scoby
(Monrovia) – There’s been a lot of back and forth on the boards about Monrovia transfer running back Kurt Scoby. The comments range from him having turned in all the proper paperwork to CIF to Scoby and the Monrovia AD haven’t submitted anything.
Another source told me that the CIF has already cleared Scoby to play and that they are just waiting to see if he’s going to make grades. Another blogger says that he’s going to miss five games. Earlier this month a source directly from Monrovia told me simply that “it’s going to be close,” when I asked about Scoby’s eligibility.
So what’s the scoop? Will he play or not? Does it depend on CIF? Grades? What? The only thing we know for sure is that if he does put on the Wildcat uniform it’s going to be a nightmare for the the rest of the Mid-Valley Division. For now it’s just a waiting game.
