1. The Dodgers sign Cuban defector Alexander Guerrero to a four-year, $28 million contract.
2. Receiver Marquise Lee, tight ends Xavier Grimble and Randall Telfer and tailback Justin Davis of USC were all injured Saturday against Notre Dame and are all expected to miss Saturday’s game against Utah.
3. Oregon DC Nick Aliotti is fined $5,000 for criticizing officials and also for Saturday’s postgame comments directed at Washinton State Coach Mike Leach.
4. Don Mattingly still hasn’t been offerred a contract extension by the Dodgers and more tension was created when bench coach Trey Hillman was fired Tuesday.
5. Vikings’ quarterback Josh Freeman completes 20 of 53 for 190 yards and an interception Monday night in a 23-7 loss to the Giants.
6. Tim Lincecum signs a two-year, $35 million contract to stay with the San Francisco Giants.

8. In the last two years La Serna has outscored Santa Fe 68-3.
