Monrovia Storms into TC this Friday (photo by Dondi Bueno)
All the air has gone out of the room with TC & M-Town renewing hostilities this Friday night. Last year’s contest in retrospect was a quiet classic while the 2006 meeting was the equivalent of an atom bomb. Still, Gabrielino going to Bergstrom is intriguing. For teams on the bubble or just below, nothing is over yet…but will be after this weekend. Old School Mid Valley appears weekly at www.midvalleysports.com
.) Monrovia: Josh Lowden working for and expecting the Mid Valley Karma on Friday night.
.) Arroyo: It is time for the Knights offensive line to hear the “precious cargo” talk in regards to its care of Steven Rivera?
.) Temple City: “Oh, oh, oh, they’re on fire!” Lost to Alhambra, yes, but playing better than the Moors at the moment.
.) Alhambra: Need to sweep the leg early against Montebello, the season is in the balance.
.) San Gabriel: Traveling to Bell Gardens won’t be fun, Lancers out for blood.
.) Rosemead: Best 1-5 team in Mid Valley division? They’ll have to prove it over the next four weeks.
.) Arcadia: Its crunch time for the Apaches. Dimalante hopes it’s not Burroughs doing the crunching Friday.
.) Gabrielino: Making a strong case for MVL’s number three spot. Tongva Nation rallies.
.) South El Monte: Southmen already in second round of playoffs…
.) El Monte: Need to think less about the playoffs and more about getting a big “W”.
.) Mt. View: “So goodbye, I’ll be leaving, I see no sense in just crying and grieving…”
.) Duarte: We think the Falcons are going to steal one this year.
