Lars Nootbar accounted for four touchdowns, one on the ground and three to wide receiver Nick Karrseboom to give El Segundo a 59-40 victory over Oak Park and a birth in the Northwest Division Finals for the first time in school history.
Oak Park, which won the first meeting this season between the schools 49-35, was led again by quarterback Chandler Whitbord. The senior quarterback passed for 444 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for two more.
With OP double teaming standout receiver Jamie Stewart, El Segundo was led in receiving Karrseboom’s 7-catches for 187 yards and three scores.
