Rangers running back Matt Woodcock’s 9-yard run late in the third quarter put the defending champs on top for good, and Tanner Workman’s pass to Austin Wolcott completed the deuce to give Nordhoff a 24-21 lead and eventual win.
The Cardinals had one last shot, driving deep into the Rangers territory, but Shane Hersh intercepted Bishop Diego quarterback Anthony Carter at the 5-yard line with 23 seconds to play to secure the victory.
