(Glendora) –  Troy Leaf scored 30 points to lead Azusa Pacific to a 75-69 win over Eastern New Mexico Wednesday night at the Felix Event Center. APU was down by two at the half but took the lead early in the second and maintined it the rest of the way.

ENM had three players in double figures as Rodney “Speedy” Blackmon led  the way with 19, Cornelius Cammock added 16 and Lawrence Domingo had 13.

***Leaf scored 18 of his 30 points in the second half as APU outscored Eastern New Mexico 42-34.

***APU out rebounded ENM 36-30. Leaf also led the team in rebounds with six.

***No other Cougar was in double figures. Tyler Monroe was the next leading scorer with eight.

***Eastern New Mexico led 35-33 at the half.

***Blackmon’s 19 included four three point bombs.

***ENM had only two offensive rebounds compared to seven for APU.

***The Cougars got off to a slow start and trailed by as many as nine in the first half. APU’s biggest lead was 10, 63-53, late in the second half.

***Eastern New Mexico was 8-28 from three point land while the Cougars were 2-12.

***APU was 21 of 26 from the free throw line while ENM hit just 17 of 28.

***Despite the offer of free admission only 382 fans were in attendance.
