Bonita’s Jake Payton is heading to West Point
(La Verne) – Bonita running back Jake Payton has commited to Army he posted on his Twitter feed. Payton rushed for 1291 yards and 18 touchdowns this past year.
Payton, who spent three years at San Dimas before playing his senior year at Bonita, had also taken unofficial visits to Notre Dame, UCLA, Miami and Cal before verbally commiting to Army. The 5-19, 200 pounder averaged 129 yards per game and carried the ball 157 times. His best game was against Los Altos when he rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-32 win.
