1. USC quarterback Max Wittek confirms he will graduate at the end of this semester and transfer to another school.

2. Number one ranked Arizona beats Stanford 60-57 to improve to  21-0.

3. The Lakers’ ratings on Time Warner Cable Sports-Net is down 37.5% from last season.

4. Oregon forward Mike Moser is playing for his third college team in five years. He spent his freshman year in 2009-’10 at UCLA and then transferred to UNLV for three years and graduated last spring before moving on to Oregon.

5. Lance Berkman (15 years) and Michael Young (14 years) have announced their retirements from baseball.

6. “I do throw ducks. I’ve thrown a lot of yards and touchdown ducks so I’m actually quite proud of it.” – Peyton Manning responding to Richard Sherman’s comment that Manning throws ducks.

10. On this date in in 1988 Doug Williams earns MVP honors as he leads the Washington Redskins to a 42-10 win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXII in San Diego.
