(South El Monte)- South El Monte’s Gabriel and Ivan Moran gave up one earned run on five hits in a 15-2 victory over Bosco Tech on Wednesday afternoon.
Gabriel Moran, a senior, started the game for the Eagles pitching 4-innings allowing four hits and two runs but only one was earned. He also went three for five at the plate with two runs scored and two runs batted in.
Ivan Moran, a junior, pitched the final three innings giving up just one hit. At the plate he went one for three hitting, with two runs driven and a run scored.
One bright spot for the Tigers was Andrew Omana who went one for three with an run batted in and played a stellar center field and catcher.
Roy Saavedra gets his first win as the Eagles head coach, South El Monte (1-0) plays Edgewood next Wednesday. Bosco Tech falls to (0-2) in preseason will play Rio Hondo Prep Friday.
