1. Steve Kerr spurns the Knicks and agrees to become the head coach of the Golden State Warriors.

2. Miami overcomes a nine point fourth quarter deficit to beat Brooklyn 96-94 and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

3. The Kings beat the Ducks 2-1 to force a game seven Friday night in Anaheim.

4.  On this date in 1973 Nolan Ryan threw his first no hitter as the Angels beat Kansas City 3-0.

5. The Detroit Pistons sign Stan Van Gundy to a five-year, $35 million deal to become their head coach and President of basketball operations.

6. The White Sox’ Jose Abreu became only the fourth player in major league history to hit 15 home runs in his first 42 games when he hit a three run shot Wednesday in a 4-2 win over Oakland.

7. Arroyo hosts Rosemead today at 3:15 for the Mission Valley League title.

8. Rosemead’s Angel Lopez Jr. is hitting .377 with 11 RBI and 26 runs scored.

9. Western New Mexico University will have a prospect camp at La Mirada High School on Saturday June 28 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
