LOS ANGELES – The LA KISS continue to shuffle their roster, adding two more offensive lineman in trades on Wednesday night. The KISS acquired rookie Roderick Tomlin from the Jacksonville Sharks in exchange for future considerations, as well as fourth-year pro Julius Wilson from the Orlando Predators in exchange for a claim order position. Additionally, the team sent rookie defensive back George Baker to the Sharks, completing future considerations from a previous trade.

Tomlin (6-5, 310, Murray State) started the first five games of the season for the Sharks. The rookie also caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown during his time in Jacksonville. Prior to coming to the AFL, Tomlin began his professional career with the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL. Before that, he was a fixture along the offensive line at Murray State University. As a four-year letterman for the Racers, Tomlin started 37 of the 42 games in which he appeared, primarily logging time at right tackle. He started all 11 of the team’s games in each of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, first seeing action with four starts in nine games as a redshirt freshman in 2009.

Wilson (6-5, 325, Alabama-Birmingham) began his AFL career with the Predators in 2011, where he saw action in nine games as a rookie. He played in 12 games the following season with the Tampa Bay Storm before returning to start 14 contests with the Predators in 2013. He has not played yet this season. Prior to turning pro, Wilson was a two-time All-Conference USA selection at UAB.

To complete future considerations from a previous trade with Jacksonville, the KISS dealt recently-activated defensive back George Baker to the Sharks

Baker (6-0, 185, South Florida) enters his first season in the AFL after spending time with the Tennessee Titans. A Florida native, Baker spent his collegiate career at the University of South Florida. After redshirting in 2008, Baker appeared in 47 games over the next four seasons, emerging as a full-time starter as a senior in 2012. That year, Baker racked up 42 tackles and five pass breakups. Over the course of his tenure with the Bulls, Baker totaled 77 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception and seven pass breakups
