Monrovia’s Dave Moore steps down after 31 years

(Monrovia) – Dave Moore, Monrovia’s baseball coach for the last 31 years, has stepped down AD Randy Bell confirmed.

The Wildcats are coming off of a season in which they went 14-12 and advanced to the  second round of the playoffs before losing to Century 2-0. Monrovia won the CIF title in 2005 with a 3-1 victory over St. Bonaventure behind ace Eddie McKiernan. McKiernan went on to be drafted by the Angels.

Moore has served as c0-coach with Brad Blackmore over the last several years. Blackmore is expected to continue on as head coach.
