The Southmen are headed north!

The Southmen are headed north!

M-Town is going to have its hands full with La Canada this week. The Wildcats need to stay focused. Arroyo is getting better, and Temple City has been impressive. But something is cooking with SG, it may be time to buy Matador stock. Give Arcadia 22 more points, and they’ll give you a different world. Old School Mid Valley appears weekly at www.midvalleysports.com

.) Monrovia: This is a team loaded with great players it always comes back to Josh Lowden. The truth passed to us is he’s an even better teammate than ballplayer.

.) Arroyo: Trench warriors Javier Lozano and Matt Phillip are the guys who will dictate how far the Knights go.

.) Temple City: Who would have thought eight weeks in Justin Smith would account for 16 touchdowns and nearly 1,800 total yards?

.) San Gabriel: Almont title on the line against Schurr. Mats on a mission to shut up critics.

.) Alhambra: Need to find a running game pronto. A loss to Bell Gardens this week and the Moors can kiss the baby.

.) Rosemead: Survive close shave at SEM. Does it make them better or worse?

.) South El Monte: Didn’t we say not to give up on these guys, not to give up on Ray Hernandez team?

.) Arcadia: I’ll put my house on the line…Apaches beat Hoover this week.

.) Gabrielino: Nothing pretty about this team, nothing to make your head spin, except they keep winning…just enough…and will battle for a playoff spot Friday.

.) El Monte: “A long, long, long time ago, I can still remember how the music used to make me smile…”

.) Mt. View: “I got a cow that went dry and a hen that won’t lay, and a big stack of bills getting bigger each day. The county’s all set to all my belongings away…cause I’m busted.”

.) Duarte: The Falcons beat Bassett…in week ten.
