(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in the TEN)

1. Doc Rivers returns to the Clippers as Coach and President of Basketball operations.

2. Dallas Clark is set to retire today as an Indianapolis Colt.

3. Tony Gwynn played for the Padres for 20 years, won eight batting titles, had a .338 lifetime batting average, and set a National League record for batting over .300 for 19 consecutive seasons. Oh and he was drafted in the 10th round in 1981…by the San Diego Clippers.

4. The Houston Texans name Ryan Fitzpatrick the starting quarterback.

5. Dodgers cut the Giants’ lead to five games with a 4-2 win over the Rockies.

6. Johnny Manziel signs a four-year, $8.25 million deal with Cleveland.

7. There is another Anding on the Burroughs roster. Zander’s brother Adrien is a wide receiver.

8. Crescenta Valley wide receiver Connor Van Ginkel 2013 stats, junior year: 19 – 509 yards, 6 TD.

9. Glendale running back Daniel Jung, 2013 stats, junior year: 120-914 yards, 9 TD.

10. Happy Birthday to former St. Louis Cardinal great Lou Brock who turns 75 today.
