Can anyone tag the primary players in this picture?
Names come and go so fast, and so does glory and fame. Over the remainder of the summer (because we might not have time once the season begins) we’re going to post a pic and you can tell us if you know their name, their biggest game, or their best moment.
Name the two feature players in this pic (#74) and (#20) I think you know who they play for…Clues: This picture is well over a decade old, the opponent was Gladstone at Citrus College, and #20 was a dominate back. Consider yourself a “Memory Beast” if you can identify the other jersey numbered players in the background.
From Joe T.: #20 is Jose Samano, #74 is Brian Harmon. Bonus points to 2002 RHS ALUM for nailing two of the other three players with visible numbers. We’re going to leave #51 (Mead player with one knee down) as a mystery. The picture was taken in the 2001 (9/6) season opener for both Mead and Gladstone at Citrus College. It was a physical game the Panthers won 16-0. Last Add on Samano: He was a dominant back in 2000, but a knee injury short circuited his senior season in 2oo1. Mead HC Matt Koffler then turned to Mike Gomez to key the semifinal run that ended against Charter Oak.
