(“The TEN” is not a top ten but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1. The Washington Nationals clinched their second National League East title in the last three years.

2. The Almont League has a combined record of 1-16 through the first three weeks.

3. San Gabriel has been outscored 142-0 in the first three games.

4. Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer is arrested for aggravated assault and then deactivated from all team activities.

5. Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy is placed on the commissioner exempt list until his domestic violence case is resolved.

6. Washington Redskins’ HC Jay Gruden says Robert Griffin III will be out at least eight weeks.

7. Alhambra has been outscored 96-21 in the first three weeks.

8. The Mission Valley League is a combined 3-16 in the first three weeks.

9. Former Diamond Ranch running back Chase Price had 16 carries for 76 yards for San Diego State Saturday in a 31-27 loss to North Carolina. Rashaad Penny (Norwalk) had an 11 yard kick return for the Aztecs.
