La Mirada looks invincible right now especially entering Suburban League play. St. Francis and Cathedral are still unbeaten and is La Serna too low at number three? Bellflower and Crescenta Valley, also undefeated, could be on the verge of something big. Nobody has beaten Lynwood; yes we finally noticed.

1. La Mirada (4-1) – Opens league by blasting Artesia.

2. St. Francis (4-0) – Canyon is latest Golden Knight victim; St Frank’s is rolling.

3. La Serna (4-1) – After win over Rancho Cucamonga, Lancers might be too low.

4. Cathedral (4-0) – Phantoms still undefeated after rout of Dorsey.

5. Bellflower (5-0) – Bucs perfect so far; get La Mirada this week.

6. Crescenta Valley (4-0) – Falcons prove they belong with the big boys after humbling Burroughs.

7. Norwalk (3-2) – Lancers struggle to beat Mayfair to kick off Suburban.

8. Lynwood (4-0) – Knights jump into top ten with fourth straight rout.

9. Burbank (3-1) – Injuries or no, Bulldogs rough up Pasadena in Pacific League opener.

10. Paramount (3-2) – Pirates take care of Culver City; Dominguez this week.

In the mix: Downey (2-3), Dominguez (3-2), Muir (1-3), California (3-2), El Rancho (2-2), La Salle (3-1), Salesian (2-3), Harvard-Westlake (3-1)
