Last Rodeo for Rudy? I don't believe it, Ruedaflores has another three years left in him

Last Rodeo for Rudy? I don't believe it, Ruedaflores has another three years left in him

Good Afternoon!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never rocked around the Christmas tree…we always kept it in the corner because if it was in the middle of the floor we’d trip on the power cord as we rocked around it…and then you’d just have a mess on your hands…plus it would probably block your view of the tube…

Finally, Carolina Panther Jonathan Stewart justifies my faith by not doing anything in a game I didn’t start him in.

It was ironic both teams scoring first last night, Covina and Burroughs, lost. Both also surrendered 41-points…and now both squads are turning in their gear.

Playing Diamond Ranch would not be high on my ‘things to do’ list for the second round. The Panthers hardly suffer from a scarcity of talent…just a scarcity of printed rosters.

There was a surprising lack of Southeast coaches at Memorial Field in Burbank Thursday evening. Burbank was there and James Escarcega was filming for South Hills…Everyone else must have been Richie Incognito…

“No.” That’s what Rowland HC Craig Snyder said when asked about the rumors of injured quarterback Michael Ball playing tonight against Cal.

On this date in 1943 United States Marines landed at Tarawa.

On September 23, 1988 San Gabriel went to West Covina where they fell to the Bulldogs thanks to Carlos Baez’s 37-yard field goal in the third quarter.

The previous year, 1987, the Mats beat the WC 21-10 behind David Kerr’s 125-yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Westco, down 7-0, briefly tied it when Gary Julian picked off SG quarterback Dan Bachman and returned it 25-yards to paydirt.

Tough night for Burroughs against D-Ranch. The silver lining for the Indian faithful is you  get Lucas Yanez back for another year…I say line him up in the shotgun and let him throw the ball a thousand times in 2010…

Both Burbank teams need better support locally.

Depending on what Moors team shows up, Gil Ruedaflores and his Alhambra squad have a shot at knocking off Burbank tonight…I wouldn’t bet on it…I would just say they have a shot… It’s hard to conceive this could be it for Rudy…

Arroyo knocks off Whittier Christian…I’m going with La Canada in the upset over Valley Christian…Have to lean Paraclete against La Puente…and I’ll let you know about SG-Westco after the fourth quarter…need a little more time on this one…

Santa Fe-CV is a toss up, Schurr gets by The Ranch, BP stops G-Stone, San Marino (because I know Koffler wouldn’t want me to predict any other way) takes care of business against the Mead.

I have it on good authority that by midway through the second quarter the name Jesus Christ will be called out on the field but you won’t be able to find him on a roster…

…And at least two…two horrendous calls by the officials will dominate all the conversation back at the office tonight.

Stay thirsty my friends…
