(Burbank)- Despite over 25 flags thrown at Memorial Field in Burbank, the Pacific League champion Bulldogs came back from a 14-0 deficit to prevail over Alhambra 21-14 Friday night in CIF play.

The Moors drew first blood with 3:09 left in the first quarter after defensive back Alex Bird picked off Burbank’s Adam Colman.

Six plays later from the B-Bank 27 Darrian Cazarin’s tossed an 11-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Wilson.

Early in the second quarter Alhambra drove 71-yards in five plays, with 9:46

left in the second quarter, Cazarin threw a 14-yard strike to Mitchell Crockom, and following the point after, a 14-0 lead.

Down two touchdowns, with nine minutes left in the half, Burbank got its running game going. Gaining 69-yards in eight plays, consuming three minutes, with stellar running from number Ulises Ochoa. After landing at the five, Leo Rodas punched it in. PAT good. Alhambra 14, Burbank 7

The Moors quickly went three and out, and the Bulldogs came back to tie the game

only 40 ticks before half. Driving 72-yards in 13 plays, Colman hooked up with Anthony Cervantes from 10-yards for the score.

Both teams punters earned their keep has the defenses dominated the third quarter.

Burbank pulled ahead at the start of the fourth with Ochoa’s brilliant 22-yard

run to the end zone for what proved to be the game winner.
