West Covina offense did enough to win on Friday night.

West Covina offense did enough to win on Friday night.

League titles in the Mt. Baldy, Rio Hondo, and Sunkist seem to be set with Colony and Kaiser getting by their main competition last Friday. Monrovia only needs to get by La Canada to finish off their title run. If Glendora and South Hills both hold serve this week, it will set up a Palomares league title next week. After leaving the Huskies for dead, they have risen like the Phoenix and could get a top seed and look dangerous. West Covina is the lead driver in the Hacienda League, but have Charter Oak and Diamond Ranch to contend with the next two weeks.

  1. Glendora (7-1) – Can’t get caught looking ahead to South Hills in a week.
  2. Monrovia (7-1) – Defense starting to come around in Wildcat country.
  3. Colony (6-2) – Did enough to win against Chaffey.
  4. San Marino (6-2) – Glazier and company have offense clicking against everyone.
  5. Kaiser (6-2) – Overtime win over SkyHawks puts a scare in the Kats.
  6. West Covina (6-2) – Defense was tough as they battled against Los Altos.
  7. Chaffey (6-2) – No shame in loss to Colony.
  8. South Hills (4-4) – Don’t look now but Huskies are on a roll.
  9. Diamond Ranch (6-2) – Panthers still can get a share of Hacienda title with win over West Covina.
  10. Charter Oak (4-4) – Paging Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.

Others receiving consideration: Summit (4-3-1), La Canada (6-2), South Pasadena (5-3)
