1.) Maranatha HC Steve Bogan turns 57 today.

2.) On this date in 2003 San Gabriel beat Santa Fe 17-14 at Keith Jones Field to advance to their first CIF Finals.

4.) On this date in 2008 Rosemead won its semifinal game at Monrovia, 16-6, and earned a trip up to Knight High School to play Paraclete in the CIF Finals. On the same night Charter Oak crushed Rowland 33-17 in the Southeast semis. It would be the Raiders last serious playoff run to date.

6.) On this date in 2009 Monrovia defeated Whittier Christian 35-32 in the Mid-Valley Division semis. Besides being a classic the build up to the game and the game itself was the first event to blow up on MidValleySports.com…Same night Rio Hondo Prep defeated Salesian 20-14.

8.) Saturday’s Central Division final will be the first ever meeting between Colony and Los Altos.

5. Norwalk (7-2) – Ok Lancer honks, I gave Glenn too much credit.
6. El Rancho (7-2) – ER has a real shot at Final Four. These guys are good.
7. Muir (5-4) – Mustangs will win Turkey Tussle…again.
8. Dominguez (7-2)- Another 50 spot for Dons in rout of Gahr.
9. La Serna (7-2) – Lancers are a solid second place team.
10. Downey (6-3) – Vikings-Dons Friday night at Downey.
