1.  Landon Donovan and the L.A. Galaxy win their record fifth MLS Cup Title.

2.  The St. Louis Rams get back-to-back shut-outs with their 24-0 victory over the Washington Redskins.

3.  USC has been selected to play in the Holiday Bowl vs. Nebraska December 27, 2014.

4.  Colony’s Josh Thompson hits on 13 of 18 passes for 274-yards and two scores in Titans CIF Central Division Title win.

5.  UCLA has been pegged to play in the Alamo Bowl vs. Kansas State on January 2, 2015.

6.  The San Diego Chargers’ Phillip Rivers and former NFL quarterback Jeff George share a birthday today.

7.  Although the Lakers have lost three straight games, they still don’t possess the worst record in the NBA. That belongs to the Philadelphia 76ers at 2-18.

8.  On this day in 1966 the Yankees trade Roger Maris to the Cardinals for Charlie Smith.

9.  Ohio State crushes Wisconsin and Melvin Gordon 59-0 and make it into the NCAA four team playoff.
