(Monrovia) – Monrovia running back Kameron Johnson transferred to Cathedral this week sources confirmed Wednesday. Johnson rushed for 609 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore but his numbers tailed off last season as he didn’t get as many touches.

In 2014 he had  50 carries (compared to 79 in 2013) and rushed for 338 yards and a touchdown. Johnson is expected to have to sit out the mandatory 30 day period once the season begins. Cathedral lost in the second round of the Southeast Division playoffs last season to Downey.
