1. Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio are elected into the baseball Hall of Fame.

2. UFC light heavyweight champ Jon “Bones” Jones tests positive for cocaine and checks into a drug treatment center.

3. Florida St. quarterback Jameis Winston will wait until after Monday’s national championship game to announce his decision on whether he’ll enter the NFL draft.

4. The New York Knicks have lost 12 straight games.

5. Former Glendale JC/ Maranatha head coach Tim Godley is now the HC at Bonita. The Bearcats are 12-2 on the year.

6. The NFL admitted to the Detroit Lions on Tuesday that officials missed a blatant hold on Ndmamukong Suh on the crucial fourth down conversion pass from Tony Romo to Jason Witten.

7. Pasadena beat Burroughs 52-50 in the Pacific League opener Monday night.

8. There was a moment of silence in every NBA game Sunday in honor of ESPN’s Stuart Scott who passed away from cancer.

9. On this day in 1980 the NHL’s longest unbeaten streak came to an end when the Philadelphia Flyers were beaten by the Minnesota North Stars 7-1. The Flyers had gone 25-0-10 dating back to October 14, 1979.
