1. The Dallas Mavericks suspend Rajon Rondo for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. The suspension stems from a profanity laced shouting match with coach Rick Carlisle in Tuesday night’s win over Toronto.

2. Angels’ outfielder Josh Hamilton met Wednesday with MLB officials in New York about a disciplinary issue the team confirmed.

3. The Detroit Lions have released running back Reggie Bush.

4. The Green Bay Packers release veteran inside linebacker A.J. Hawk.

5. The LA KISS will hold their last open tryouts for 2015 this Saturday February 28 at Santa Ana College from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

6. The LA Kings have won eight straight after a 1-0 win over Detroit Tuesday night.

7. Manny Ramirez and Kevin Youklis have both been been hired by Chicago Cubs executive Theo Epstein, their former boss with the Boston Red Sox.

10. On this day in 1935 the New York Yankees release Babe Ruth. He later signs with the Boston Braves.
