1.  Azusa Pacific University will host the 2015 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball West Regional, entering the tournament as the West’s No. 1 seed. The Cougars will face Western Oregon on Friday at 7:30 pm.

2.  Maranatha will host Pacific Ridge Wednesday night at 7:00 pm in the first round of the Division IV CIF State Basketball Playoffs.

3.  Jim Boeheim was given a nine game suspension and Syracuse was docked 12 scholarships and had 108 wins vacated after at multi-year investigation into the athletic program.

4.  Brian “The Boz” Bosworth turns 50 today.

5.  La Mirada will host Gardena in the first round of the Division II CIF State playoffs Wednesday night.

6.  Ted Williams turned down $500,000 to play in the Mexican Baseball League on this day in 1946.

7.  The Los Angeles Clippers sign guard Nate Robinson to a 10 day contract.

8.  On this day in 1995 MLB awarded an expansion franchise to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

9.  The Baylor Bears are having 6-foot-7, 410 pound LaQuan McGowan practice at tight end and H-back.
