(Vancouver) – After a scoreless first half Vancouver scored twice in the second to shut out the LA Galaxy 2-0 Saturday night at BC Place.
Kekutah Manneh scored in the 56th minute and Octavio Rivero added one ten minutes later to provide the margin of victory. The Whitecaps dominated though out the contest with 18 total shots and nine on goal compared to six and just one on goal for the Galaxy.
Robbie Keane, Jaime Pinedo, and Gyasi Zardes all returned for the Galaxy after missing last week’s match with DC United but it wasn’t enough for a win. The loss also left the Galaxy, (1-2-2) winless in their last nine road contests dating back to 2014.
