2. The Dodgers Brandon McCarthy leads the league in home runs allowed (six) and strikeouts (19).

3. The Kansas City Royals were 7-0 entering Tuesday night’s action.

4. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree leaves the 49ers and signs a deal with the Oakland Raiders.

5. Cornerback Ike Taylor, who spent his entire 12 year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, announced his retirement.

6. William & Mary removes former Tribe and NFL safety Darren Sharper from the school’s Hall of Fame after Sharper’s recent guilty plea on one of numerous rape charges.

7. Rosemead is looking for a new offensive coordinator.

8. Montebello is hosting Garfield, Rosemead and Pioneer today in passing competition at 5:30 p.m.

9. On this date in 2013 3 people are killed and 183 people are injured after two explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
