(La Puente) – Erick Williams, the defensive coordinator at La Puente, has been promoted to head coach of the Warriors AD Scott Morrison confirmed today. Morrison left as the head coach earlier this year to take the same position at Corona Santiago.
Williams has had several assistant coaching stints in the area but this is his first head coaching job. The Warriors finished 7-4 in each of the two years under Morrison. Williams will now begin to put together his staff.
“We’re really excited to have him a part of things here,” Morrison said. “He was the DC here at La Puente for the last two years and he also worked for me at Workman. We conducted several interviews and Erick won.”
