7.) Temple City alums Calvin and Corey Copping were taken in the recent MLB Draft. Calvin (CS Northridge) went to Washington in the 25th round. Corey (Oklahoma) was taken by the Dodgers in the 31st. Both are right handed pitchers.

10.) On this date in 1965 Air Force Major Lawrence Thomas Holland, of Alhambra, is shot down inVietnam. He parachute’s to safety but is killed in a gunfight with the Viet Cong. His body is never recovered.
