Houston a Problem for Galaxy

LA GALAXYBy Tim Peterson

The Galaxy’s road struggles continued as they were blanked by the  Dynamo 3-0 in Houston Saturday Night.

Will Bruin scored first off an assist from Brad Davis in the ninth minute of the contest. Davis then found the net himself in the 27th minute firing one in from 22 yards out off of a nice pass from Nathan Sturgis as Houston took a 2-0 lead at the break.

Late in the match the Dynamo added a little gravy as Leonel Miranda lofted in a shot that found the back of the net by Galaxy goalkeeper Brian Rowe.

The Galaxy had a couple of chances early as Robbie Keane and Bradford Jamison IV both had shots but were turned away. Dynamo keeper Tyler Deric made a nice save on Keane’s shot on goal.

Houston outshot LA 13-7 overall.

With the loss the Galaxy fell to 9-7-7 while the Dynamo improved to 7-8-6. The Galaxy has yet to win a league game outside of StubHub Center this season.
