1. Cole Hamels no-hitter against the Cubs on Saturday was the first-time in 50 years that the Chicago Northsiders were no-hit. The previous was by Sandy Koufax of the Dodgers.

2. Kyle Busch missed the first 11-races in the Sprint Cup series after breaking leg at Daytona. Must crack the top-30 in order to compete in “The Chase.” Winner of three of the last four he is 23 points from the top-30.

3. American Pharoah will work today prior to shipping to Monmouth Park for August 2nd Haskell Stakes.

4. Mexico and US play on October 9th for a place in the Confederations Cup 2017. A dress rehearsal for the FIFA World Cup 2018.

5. Angels acquire Shane Victorino from the Boston Red Sox for Josh Rutledge.

6. Colorado shortstop Troy Tulowitzki traded to Toronto for Jose Reyes.

7. Jen Welter becomes first NFL coach after being hired as an intern with the Arizona Cardinals.

8. On this day, MLBPA decide to agree to strike on August 12, 1994.
