1.  The Dodgers sweep the three game series with the Angels to remain 2.5 games up in the NL West.

2.  Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson suffers a sprained MCL after a collision with former APU running back Terrell Watson.

3.  Following a 15 month hiatus from football, Richie Incognito was named by Rex Ryan as the Buffalo Bills starting left guard.

4.  Adidas has submitted a bid for $200 million over 13 years to sign Houston Rocket James Harden.

5.  Former Los Angeles Kings center Marcel Dionne and current Patriot quarterback Tom Brady share birthdays today. Dionne 64 and Brady 38.

6.  The Angels have lost six straight games and fall four games behind Houston in the AL West.

7.  USC was picked to win it’s first Pac 12 title since 2008 in a preseason media poll edging out Oregon with 21 votes to the Ducks 17.

8.  On this day in 1992 the Dodgers win their 3000th game after moving to Los Angeles.

9.  Diamond Ranch’s 2015 non-league schedule includes South Hills, Rosemead, Ayala, Schurr and El Rancho.
