LA GALAXY

(Colorado)- The Galaxy scored three times in the second half to overcome a one goal halftime deficit and beat Colorado 3-1 Saturday night in Colorado.

It’s the first time LA has won away from the StubHub Center in 346 days as the road winless streak had reached 15 games.

The Rapids took the early 1-0 lead on a goal by former Galaxy player Marcelo Sarvas in the 12th minute. The score remained that way until halftime.

The Galaxy tied it in the second half when Sebastian Lletget put one in off of an assist  from Juninho in the 56th minute. 13 minutes later Steven Gerrard’s shot was tipped away but Alan Gordon jumped on it and knocked it in for a 2-1 lead.

Robbie Keane finished it off late in the contest for the two goal victory. Goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts made his debut in the net for the Galaxy. He was acquired this week after Jorge Penedo was placed on waivers at his request.

The Galaxy improved to 10-7-7 while the Rapids fell to 5-7-9.
