(Monrovia) – Muir running back Jaylyn Newson has transferred to Monrovia sources confirmed Friday.
Newson, who rushed for 238 yards on 64 carries last year as a junior, enrolled at Monrovia on Thursday. Newson also played outside linebacker last year for the Mustangs and had 17 total tackles in 2014.
Newson is one of a several players who have reportedly transferred out of Muir in the last several months according to multiple sources.
